bring on summer wishlist

summerfashion
leather baseball cap from asos, white skinny jeans from topshop, leather slips by isabel marant (it’s pointless providing a link as they’re sold out everywhere, like most isabel marant footwear!) photographs from pinterest.

my wardrobe isn’t what you’d consider ‘summer friendly’. i have an abundance of coats, not so summery shoes and dark clothing takes up (not kidding) 90% of the space in my wardrobe. since the sun has been creeping around the clouds, i can’t help myself but swoon over these three pieces at the moment! they throw that cool summer vibe at me and practically yell ‘let me be in your wardrobe fiona – we’ll look great with everything you already have!’

interior styling with flowers

interior styling with flowers, roses, cat safe flowers

something i’ve never routinely done before is buy flowers – but a few months ago i learnt that they’re one of the best things you can purchase when things are getting tired and feeling a little dull. they smell good, they look good – they’re an overall mood lifter and they’re the perfect addition for a room that needs a boost of life. it’s amazing how such a small change and burst of colour can bring a fresh perspective on an interior! roses are my flowers of choice; a classic flower that are safe around my cat!

chesterfield sofa

black leather chesterfield sofa

ever since i pinned this photograph on pinterest i’ve have been heavily lusting after a chesterfield sofa. they’re one of those things that everybody wants to own atleast once in life. a true classic. unfortunately, i won’t ever be able to own a leather chesterfield sofa; i have a cat who likes to pluck the living daylight out of everything.

greychesterfields

luckily for me, john lewis have a huge range of chesterfield sofas that come with literally, hundreds of fabric options. cat friendly and lush – i’ve fallen head over heels for these grey tones! i guess i better start saving up now, right?

home is in the north, interior design event

home is in the north interior design event manchester north west

i’m really looking forward to going to ‘home is in the north’ event in manchester!

the pop up event will take place on Saturday 26th April at hallé St. Peters, from 11am – 4pm.

it will be an amazing chance to see a whole collective of independent interior designers showcasing their beautiful work, including industrial upcycled lighting by greymoose designs, geometric pattern work by charlotte nash and playful ceramics by beth johnson to name a few; there will be something for everybody.

the day will also host a handful of interactive workshops and demos including a ‘create your own art’ workshop with interior blogger Kimberly Hughes of Swoonworthy (my favourite!)

you can purchase tickets for the event in advance at eventbrite for only £3.
