fashion graduate amy davidson, recently won the mulberry accessories award for graduate fashion week. the winning collection is based on her travels to french cathedrals, where she was drawn to the intricacy and detail of the buildings and ceilings surrounding her. what initially pulled me in about her designs was the delicate detail and pattern, the strong gothic theme and the level of patience it must have taken to produce; but secondly that she’s from my local city of manchester. it makes me feel very proud to associate with somebody with such skill and a keen eye for beautiful design. i’m very much looking forward to seeing more of amy’s work and wish her the very best of luck for her future in fashion, she is very inspirational.

despite the outrageously sunny weather and heat, i’m still wishing i was wearing my usual black clothes but it’s just too hot. i want winter! all black everything, leather and plenty of layers. here’s a weather appropriate (maybe) but not colour appropriate outfit i’m lusting after at the moment.

tash sefton is one half of they all hate us (the other half is elle ferguson!). i’ve fallen in love with her style. it’s simple, relaxed, casual and very classy. she combines basic pieces with classics, and always finishes her looks off with killer shoes. i’m finding it difficult to deal with the fact that i’ve only just discovered her!

& other stories is the beautiful baby of H&M. well presented, effortless, simple and straight to the point, this new brand is one of my very new favourites. the packaging is minimal and just what you need sitting on the dressing table, looking pretty and whispering ‘use me!’ i’m yet to order from them but as soon as i do, i’m sure you’ll hear about it!
