despite the outrageously sunny weather and heat, i’m still wishing i was wearing my usual black clothes but it’s just too hot. i want winter! all black everything, leather and plenty of layers. here’s a weather appropriate (maybe) but not colour appropriate outfit i’m lusting after at the moment.

following on from my previous wishlist post with luxury shopping, i’ve been browsing john lewis and come across some beauts!

one: i love these kurt geiger wedge ‘jelly’ shoes. not sure they’d be going out material but they’d definitely work for bbq’s in summer! they come in black, white and nude, perfect. two: mulberry have always been a bloggers favourite bag but (sorry girls) i hated the alexa so much. it’s was too ‘indie’ for my liking, whereas this one is right up my street! this is the mulberry north south maisie tote, with seamless black hardware it’s simple and big enough for everything. three: eventhough winter was the season for dark lips, there aren’t rules, right? this beaut from nars is a soft matte lipstick called ‘volga’, which on the website sadly doesn’t show the correct colour; but it’s a rich velvet berry which seems buildable for day and night time wear. four: i think dkny have some of the best perfumes. their women eau de parfum sounds so fresh. a floral scent with orange, tomato leaf and white birch, nice and refreshing.

it gets tiring seeing high street brands, i’ve decided to ban the high street and turn to luxury! here’s a little wishlist from avenue 32.

i first chose the blk dnm cropped leather jacket. i can’t get enough of leather jackets at the moment, they’re versatile and easy to carry from day to night. then here’s something that i wouldn’t normally go for, temperley london ribbon skirt, but i’m in love with the sheer panels and think it would be pretty to wear at a more formal event. blk dnm perfume 11 has warm spices and woody musk, black pepper and cedar; everything i love in a fragrance! my favourite christmas gift was a pair of simple plattan urbanears; i love them. but when i saw the frends taylor headphones i knew there was no way i could only have one pair of headphones, plus they could match different outfits (theyre available in rose gold, too!) and lastly but by no means least, my favourite in this wishlist; the 3.1 phillip lim black bubble 31 minute clutch. the perfectly detailed glossy black bubble wrap effect is just the right amount to put together with a basic outfit any time of the day.

i really need to start saving up; drool!

i am a HUGE fan of rick owens, i honestly pine for everything he’s ever made – it’s all so beautiful. he’s the king of darkness, perfect drapes, off centred zips, sharp cuts, flawless silhouettes, minimalism, black black and more black – i could go on! for me he is the definition of avante garde – it’s scruffy looking but extremely luxurious! almost warrior like. perfect, all of it. i love love love it!

as i’m vegetarian, i tend to stay away from leather, which unfortunately the majority of rick owens garments are made from. but a quick hunt around the internet i’ve found some amazing high street pieces that inherit rick’s distinct style for so much less (not that his pieces wouldn’t be worth it, they totally would! but for non-rich vegetarians like me, these i’m about to show you make great rick owens dupe)

above are some inspired pieces i found at river island, all available online. my favourite has got to be the biker jacket, it’s in my shopping basket as i’m typing this! usually i struggle with picking clothes and outfits, but i think this winter it’s going to be all black and as many layers as i can fit on!

how beautiful is the bag? rick owens isn’t a bag type of guy, infact i dont think he’s really designed many; but if he did i’d imagine they’d be this simple as the one above, with a patent and matte pleather material contrast. all the pieces in the collage above are from H&M – can you believe it!
